「兄ちゃん うめえなっぁああ〜」
ドスの効いた声に声色を変えて、男はそう語る。
私は、占いを信じる。手相でもなく、タロットでもなく、風水でもなく。雑誌、アンアンの占いをこよなく愛し、そして信じる。
占いにもやはり相性というのがあるようで、同じ血液型や、星座の占いでも各誌内容が微妙に違う。微妙ならいいが、明らかにかたや最高。かたや最低。これには困る。だから相性の合う占いを早いところ見つけておくと、翻弄されずにすむのでいい。
私の場合、なぜだかアンアンなのである。何故かは確か、その昔付き合っていた彼女が熱読していたのと、私の本の特集をいち早くやってくれたから・・とそんな理由である。
ところがこのアンアンの占い。恐ろしく当たる時がある。「出会いにがあるかも・・」等と曖昧なこともたまには書くが、やたらディテールが細かいのである。
蠍座 ○×■△ ふとした気のゆるみから、落とし物に注意。特に、靴下や靴等の足回りには要チェック！
と、ある月の蠍座の占いに書いてある。
「いくらなんでも、靴はねえだろ 靴はさ〜〜」等とあまりのディテール表現に失笑の私。
翌日、デブ防止の為に近所の市民プールへ。
二キロ程泳いで、ロッカーに戻って着替えていると、靴下が無い！
どこにもない。確かにはいてきて、ロッカーにぶち込んだはずの靴下が無い。
ま〜 三足千円の安物だからまだいいが、なんとも気持ちが悪い。辺りを探してもどこにも無い。
釈然としない気持ちで、中途半端に髪を乾かせ、バスタオルで頭から覆い試合後のボクサーを気取って、デカビタシーを一気に飲み干す。かっこいいのだか悪いのだかわからないがとにかく一気に飲み干す。
喉の奥に絡むデカビタシーの甘みをもう一度 呑み起こしながら 下駄箱に向かう。
無い！
無い！！！！ ない！ナイナイ ないあないあにあい！ないないな〜〜〜〜い！
マイシューズが無い！
まさか
落ち着け 落ち着くんだ
私は両手を下駄箱につけ、寄りかかったまま下を見て眼を閉じる
入館した時の事を冷静に思い出す。
俺は間違いなく、五段目のこの場所に置いたはずだ。
鍵も無く、木製の下駄箱は直径４m程、上下に７段の昔ながらの 古風な奴である。 片っ端から見て回った。 セーラームーンや戦隊物の絵柄の子供用。ちょっとくさそうなピエールカルダンのオヤジ靴 おおっとギャル風なピンヒール。 どこを探しても見つからない。
改めて、自らの靴を思い浮べる
ベージュ色の革製 ややハイカットのパン屋が作ったかのような
柔らかいカタチをしたカジュアルシューズ。私にとっては愛着があるが相当はきつぶしているため見た目には汚い。 ブランド物でもないので、盗っていく理由がわからない。
車迄、裸足で行けば何とか帰れなくはない、しかしこのままでは気が収まらない。
ふと眼をやると、チケット販売とは別の税務相談でも受け付けているような窓口があったので、そこに事情を話す事にした。
相談窓口には元広島カープの鉄人衣笠のようなおっさんがむしゃむしゃの腕毛にまみれて、似合わない事務処理をやっていた。
「すいません・・・ 靴が・・・」
「あああ〜盗まれたのね〜 御気の毒に〜 はい、じゃ これにね今日の日付と靴の特徴と、あなたのお名前と連絡先書いてくれる？」
東北弁なまりの妙に甲高い声で、私の語りかけを最後迄聞こうとはせずに、風貌とはそぐわない程テキパキと１０cm角の紙と鉛筆を私に差し出してきた。
「あ、え？ はい」
私は言われるがママキュウリがパパで、その用紙に自分の靴の特徴を書き記す。
シャカシャカ・・ カカッカ シューシュー シャッシャ・・
戻ってきて欲しいという気持ちから、靴の特徴にも力が入る。少なくとも美術大卒の現行絵本作家。超スーパーリアルに描き上げた。本物と何ら変わる事の無い用紙上の私の靴。我ながらうまくかけた。
５分して 鉄人衣笠に用紙と鉛筆とを差し戻す。
・ ・・・・
「に・・にいちゃん うめえなっぁああ〜」
ドスの効いた声に声色を変えて、鉄人はそう語る。
「こんなうまい絵ははじめてみた〜・・・ そうだ、兄ちゃん
あんたのは この一番上にしておこう！ わしが来てからナンバーワン！けんのおお〜」
そう言うと、感心そうに首を横に振りながら 鉄人は台に登ると、受付の右手にある壁に貼られた数十枚のへたくそな靴達の頂上はるか上に 私の絵は飾られた。
台から降りてくると 鉄人は高々と掲げられた私の絵に向かって、
パンパン！ 二礼二拍手一礼 神にでも頼むかのように軽く拝むと
毛むくじゃらの顔から真っ白な差し歯をむき出しにして、
「これで出てくるよ！」
力強くそう言った。
アンアンの占いは見事に当たり、鉄人の神頼み虚しく、私の愛するあの靴は未だ発見されていない。私はアンアンの占いを信じる。
宇宙ステーション。
夢と希望の憧れの代名詞だったフィールドが今現実になろうとしている。
夢をカタチにした人類の「次」は何処にあるのであろうか？
そしてボルト二本は宇宙の何処をさまよっているのであろう？
そして私の靴二足はいまごろ何処を歩いているのであろう？
町工場のおやじが作った ボルトが今 宇宙をさまよう。
おやじたちの夢が空を舞う。
宇宙ステーション 行ってみたいモノだ。
