ゾウと神と飲酒運転
【ムンバイ/インド 22日 AFP】ムンバイ（Mumbai）で22日、宗教的行事や式典のために飼われている15頭のゾウのうち1頭が、飲酒運転のトラックにはねられ死亡した。脚の骨折と脊椎の損傷が原因で死亡した。野生動物保護団体は、ムンバイのように人口が密集し、降雨量および交通量の多い場所でのゾウの飼育は、ゾウにとって危険なため禁止すべきだと警告を発していた。写真は、ゾウの死を嘆き悲しむ女性と、なぐさめる息子。(c)AFP/Sebastian D’SOUZA
あんまり大きな声では言えないが、酒気帯びで３回捕まったことがある。
私の免許人生。三度の免停を経験したが、これ全て「お酒」がらみである。
ここ数年、本当に厳しくなってきている。
法も改正され、酒気帯びで３０万円！飲酒に至っては５０万〜等、取り締まりも一層強化。それでも悲惨な事故は途絶える事は無い。職員や警察官等も検挙され、取り締まるべき側の人間迄もが捕まっていると言う何ともお粗末な結果になっている。
こう、偉そうに言う私は「三回も」なのである。
これはヤバい。
５万・・・７万・・ ３０万！！ これ過去の国に支払った反則金である。
しかし、うまく というか、運悪くというか・・これだけやっていながら免許取り消しにはなっていない。
免停後、一年間無事故無違反であれば「かたぎ」に戻れる。つまり引かれた点数が元に戻ってくれる訳だ。しかし、その間、「やっちゃう」とペナルティもでかい。免停後 一年以内に［酒気帯び］をやると 免許取り消しになってしまうのだ。そのルールをうまく利用できたのがわたしで 一年間たって、あ〜やっと「かたぎ」だ〜〜〜〜っと思っていると、捕まる。 で、一ヶ月後に免許がカンバックして一年。で、また捕まる。
様々な飲酒にまつわる事故の報道を聞いていると流石に「まずい」と思っていたところで、トドメの30万。これには参った。
それ依頼、「呑んだら乗らない」は徹底している。
それにしても、過去を思い出すと、ゾッとすることばかりだ。
数年前、千葉の茂原に車で友人と向かい、海で夜な夜な呑んで気がつくと、翌朝・・・しかも自宅である東京の東村山にカラオケのリモコンを持ってリビングで撃沈していた。
どうやって帰ってきたのか全く覚えていない。
恐る恐る二階の窓から自宅の駐車場を除くと、愛車のアコードワゴンが若干斜めではあったがしっかり駐車してあった。
他にも高速でワゴン車の後ろのハッチ開けて飛び降りたり。
数えればキリがないが・・・とにかくヤバイ・・。
何事もなかったからよいモノの・・・
しかし「行為」の報いはしっかり「罰金」と言うカタチで精算はさせて貰った。
５万・・・７万・・ ３０万
総合計42万円！！！！
国民税の未払いや金持ちの脱税が多発し、国のふところ事情が圧迫する中、
こおした、反則金は国にとってはボーナスみたいなモノ。
そう考えると、むしろ私は 超 優良納税者ではないか？！（＾＾）／
みなさんが、安全に走る道路。その道路の新しいガードレール等には
私のエキスが大分入っているのである。
とっても怒られそうな方向になってしまったので話をインドへ。

ゾウを跳ねた運転手の罰則はむち打ちの刑なのであろうか？
そして私はこれから幾ら反則金を払うのであろう？
そしてこれから飲酒によって尊い命はどれだけ失われていくのであろうか？
そしてゾウは天国に行けたのであろうか？
