オリンピックよ何処へ行く

冬期トリノでは、なかなか日本選手のメダルが遠い物となっており、盛り上がりに今ひとつ乗れていませんが、ここ、インドでも「オリンピック」が
大盛り上がり！！！
インド北西部、パンジャーブ州。
毎年２月に開催、世界中のパンジャーブ人がこの日のために、聖地キラ・ライプールに集結し、オリンピックならぬ、「田舎オリンピック」で火花を散らす、インド全土が燃え上がる大運動会なのだ。
タイトルが本当に「田舎」なのかは知らんが、きっといいかげんな邦題なのであろう（笑
で、７１回目の大会が、今年も2月１８日に開催！
この大会のメインテーマ
「生きとし生けるもの全てには、神が与えてくれた能力があり、誰にでも自慢できるものが一つはある」だとか・・すばらしいテーマだ！
てな、わけで老若男女、自慢できる物があるなら誰でも参加できる、ふところの広〜い〜インドの大運動会（オリンピック）。
競技内容もかなり変わっており、「砂袋かつぎ」「歯の力自慢」「胸の上での岩割り」などなど。
「８０歳代１００メートル走」では、日頃からあぜ道で練習を積んできた老人たちが、王座をかけてしのぎを削る。普段農作業に使っている牛２頭にワゴンを引かせた「牛車レース」では、農夫がジョッキーとなって、絶叫。時速６０キロ、３００メートルをわずか２０秒足らずで牛が疾走する。
写真は自転車バランス競技ってヤツらしいけど、これで、何を競うのでしょうか？このままの姿勢でどれだけいられるかって時間？知合いにもチャリ好きがいるけど、奴も出れるかも。http://blog.goo.ne.jp/nuruhati1559/
昔、轟次郎がチャリンコそば運びでチャンピオンになった、
「びっくり日本新記録」みたいなもんだね
笑っちゃう競技が沢山あるようだけど、競技に取り組む選手達は至って真剣その物。そんな選手達が協議が終わると観客からは惜しみない拍手が贈られ、もの凄い盛り上がりになるんだとか。
開会式・閉会式の模様が記事に無いのが残念だけど、きっと質素なんだろうな〜。マイクとかあるのかな？
トリノ断ってオノヨーコもここら辺で一発、イマジンの詩の朗読お願いしたかったもんですね〜。
いずれにせよ、今年で７１年の歴史を有すこの大会。
記録に追い回され、国民の期待を一身に背負い、メダルが取る事に全てを賭け一喜一憂。ドーピングやら科学トレーニングやら何やらで、何かとギスギスする、近代オリンピック。
素朴で人間味のあるこの「田舎オリンピック」を通し、近代オリンピックが失った「スポーツの原点」を改めて教わった気がする。
スポーツマンシップを唄いながらも、次に出る言葉は「メダル獲得数」「経済効果」「入場者数」・・。
参加国が増え、世界が一つになる事はとても良い事だと思う。
しかし「参加する事に意義がある」なのは実は企業。市場拡大の最大のチャンスと捉える広告主のみ。そしてこの「効果」を経済成長の起爆剤として行きたい各国のエゴが、ゆがんだ形で選手達にプレッシャーをかけている。
で、国としては何としてでもヒーローを生み出したい。奇麗ごと言いながらも「獲得しなければ意味が無い」本音はこれなのであろう・・
スポーツを通じて世界の輪を拡げて行くはずの祭典がいつから「国際運動見本市」になってしまったのであろうか？
汗を流し一生懸命頑張る選手達には失礼ではあるが、ここのところのオリンピックの運営方法に非常に疑問を感じる。
「生きとし生けるもの全てには、神が与えてくれた能力があり、誰にでも自慢できるものが一つはある」
頑張れニッポン！
自転車に悩む男を描いてみた。
彼に、自転車は高値の華である。
しかし彼に、自転車は必要ではなかった。
必要なのは、明日生きて行くための少しの食物。
でも、彼は借りた自転車を使って競技に出た。
見事、勝利し賞金を手にし、大きなナンを買って大いばりで
家族のもとへ帰って行った。
世界は何処へ行くのであろう。

僕は先日、会社に通勤で使っていたママチャリを車で取りに行きました。
そして途中でスピード違反で捕まりました。
２点減点。罰金１５０００円。
そして、
ママチャリの値段、１００００円。
ﾏｲﾅｽ５０００円。
こんなんだったらどっかで処分すればよかった。
でもこれ
「お金にはかえられない価値がある！」ってことで。
今回の絵。僕も自転車の前でこんな表情してました。

あらま、ママチャリ盗られちゃったのね。罰金も盗られちゃったのね。
大変だ〜。しかし、誰がママチャリと名付けたのであろう？おばちゃんが乗るからババチャリ。あまりにもインパクトがあるので、やわらかくママチャリになったのであろうか？
「お金に返られない価値が」あるのか？ホントにこれって？
