MTVの音楽賞 VMAJにマイケル・ジャクソン登場 - 東京
【東京 30日 AFP】アメリカの伝説的ポップシンガーであるマイケル・ジャクソンが27日、音楽専門チャンネルMTVジャパンが開催する国際的音楽授賞式「MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2006（VMAJ）」で功労賞にあたるレジェンド・アワード（Legend Award）を受賞した。マイケル・ジャクソンが一連の裁判の後、公に姿を見せるのは初めてということもあり、ぐずついた天気にもかかわらず会場には多くのファンが駆けつけた。(c)AFP
化け物？マイケル・キャクソンを一言で表せと言われたら、私は多分、そう答えると思う。私はマイケル・ジャクソンがミュータント化していく過程をリアルタイムで共に歩んできた世代だ。スリラー～今に至るまで。
人は、何を求めて整形をするのか？

≪ハリウッドの整形≫
ハリウッド・・・。ハリウッドの役者はほとんどが整形であるという。例えば、B級映画の王様でチャック・ノリスという俳優がいる。ブルース・リーの『ドラゴンへの道』の適役でデビューし、８０年代のビデオブームを支えたアクション俳優。
当時はカッコよかった彼だが、七十歳を超えた今では、頬をつっぱらせ、笑えない表情と化した、ロウ人形のようになってしまった。私が大好きなスタローンも、眉毛が伸び縮みする不気味な整形を施しているし、最近では『フライトプラン』で久々にカムバックすたジョディー・フォスターもどこか痛々しい整形であった。
『永遠に美しく』というゴールディー・ホーンとメリル・ストリープという女優が共演し、女性層の中で絶大な支持を受けている映画がある。それは、年をとらずに永遠の美しさを保ちたいという女性の願望を描いた作品だが、ラストでは徐々に化け物と化してしまう。今のハリウッド往年のスターたちは、そんな映画を地でいっているようである。
≪前向きな整形・・・≫
っとここまで書くと、私は整形に反対であるようである。ところが、本音で言うと、私は、整形に賛成だ。
人は容姿に恋をするのではない。心だ・・・。などと言う人がいるが、いやいや、現実は容姿である。っと言いたい。容姿は大事である。何よりも容姿が一番。もし気に食わない部分があり、それがコンプレックスとなっているのならば、人生は一生に一度。コンプレックスの癌は取り除ける時代なのだから取り除くべきである。
それは、明るく前向きで自信をもたらせる結果につながるはずだからである。逆に、マイナスを背負って生きながら、「どうせ私は・・・。」などと言ったり思ったりしている人よりも、コンプレックスを解消し、容姿も変身し、心機一転生まれ変わった人の方が、気持ちが良いし、話していても楽しい。
ただ、私が嫌いなのは、上に書いたハリウッドスターたちのように、老いを隠すための整形である。良い例がクリント・イーストウッドである。かれは、決して年齢をごまかさない整形でカッコ良さを保っている。これならば良い。
≪整形に思ふ事≫
整形には二タイプある。老いをごまかす為とコンプレックスを解消する為。コンプレックスを解消すれば、心も前向きになり、いい影響をあたえる。まさに、自信の心の整形といえる。しかし、老いをごまかす為に整形しても、それは、みかけの『ツギハギ』でしかない。年齢はごまかせても、心の老いはごまかせないからだ。
そして、心の整形は、人として中身を育てる結果につながる可能性はあれど、老いをごまかす整形は、中身も育てない気がする。
・・・しかし！！！マイケル・ジャクソンは、自信のコンプレックスを解消する為に整形を続けた悪い例。黒い肌が嫌で、白い肌に・・・。本人は整形を否定しているが・・・。どうも彼の整形は賛同できない。
