２月24日 国際チェチェンデー集会: 「相次ぐ暗殺事件とチェチェンの今」

２月24日（土）、午後7時から９時まで文京シビックセンター学習室（地下1階・東京都文京区）で国際チェチェンデー集会: 「相次ぐ暗殺事件とチェチェンの今」が行なわれる。前日の２月23日は、1944年にチェチェン民族が強制移住させられた日。世界各地でチェチェン関連のイベントが行なわれるが、その一環として日本ではチェチェン連絡会議が集会を主催する。
■ふたつの暗殺事件
チェチェン戦争を追ってきたロシア人ジャーナリスト、アンナ・ポリトコフスカヤが10月に暗殺され、翌11月には、プーチン政権とチェチェン戦争を批判してきたFSBの元中佐、アレクサンドル・リトビネンコが暗殺されるなど、ロシアでは政権に批判的な人物の暗殺事件が相次いる。
一連の暗殺と並行して、ロシアでは言論弾圧とNGO活動の規制が急速に進んでいる。いったい何が起きているのか。生前のリトビネンコへのインタビュー映像（ジャーナリスト常岡浩介氏撮影）を交えて報告する予定だ。
■呪われた日 1944年２月23日
人口の20～25％が死亡するほどの戦争が続いている一方のチェチェンでは、1944年
2月23日に、スターリンによってチェチェン民族がまるごと貨車に詰め込まれてカザフスタンに強制移住させられた。駅まで歩けない人たちは、建物に詰め込まれ、建物ごと火を放たれた事件も起きている。
この強制移住により、チェチェン民族の約半分が飢え・寒さ・病気などで死亡した。その強制移住の歴史を、証言ビデオ（映像作家・岡田一男氏撮影編集）で振り返る。
■国際チェチェンデーとは？
チェチェン民族の歴史的悲劇を記憶し、チェチェンで今も続く人権侵害を止めるた
めに、毎年2月23日前後には、世界各地でチェチェン関連のイベントが開催されており、これを「国際チェチェンデー」と名づけている。
