【写真の真相】タイのクーデター
【ロンドン/英国 21日 AFP】軍のクーデターにより政権を追われたタクシン・シナワット（Thaksin Shinawatra）タイ首相は20日、ニューヨークから英国へ飛行機で到着した。同国の情勢が定まらない現時点では、タクシン首相のロンドン訪問は「私的」なものとされている。写真は同日、ロンドンに近いガトウィック空港（Gatwick Airport）に到着後、手を振るタクシン首相。(c)AFP/JOHNNY GREEN
タクシン首相は、経済一辺倒の政策を採り続けたタイの首相だ。
しかし、国家のための経済かというと、地方へのバラマキ、そればかりか、２１００億円に昇る個人株の売買を隠し、個人の蓄財としてきた。
このことへの国民の怒りは７月、タイを訪れた時も相当なものに達していた。そればかりか、その時点で国王もタクシン首相に、あまりの個人蓄財の大きさをいさめる提言をしていたという。
でも、まさかクーデターが起きるとは思わなかった！！
昨日は、一日、ラジオやネットで情報を集め続けてしまった。
確かにクーデターは、民主的な手段ではない。
国連も、西欧諸国の一部も、そのことを問題にしている。
だが、今回のクーデターへの批判も、８４％の国民が支持している現状を省みれば、すぐに消え、暫定政権を容認する方向へ向かうだろう。
民主的でないクーデターという手段。
頭ではそれが悪いことを理解している。
だが一方で、今回のような、義賊的クーデターには、国際政治を見る者とサガで、心が躍ってしまうのだ。
力で憲法を停止したクーデター勢力だが、１滴の血も流さず、２週間以内に新政府に権力譲渡をするという。あくまでもきっかけだけを作り、武力による政権維持を目指していない。あまりにもカッコイイのである。
（カッコイイと書くと、語弊があるかもしれませんが、それでもカッコイイのである）
そして、何よりも重要なのは、そんなクーデター派を、「国王がいさめなかった」こと。つまり国王は「いさめないこと」で、彼らの行動を暗に認めたのである。
この時点で勝負はついた。
だが、クーデターは最後に抜く「伝家の宝刀」だろう。
この最終手段が安易に今後繰り返されないことを祈るのみだ。
