早稲田大学第一文学部文芸専修卒業後、映画制作会社、作家助手を経て独立。フィットネス＆ヘルスケアをテーマに、女性誌などで活動中。2級ファイナンシャル・プランニング技能士の資格も持つ。
小さい頃の愛読書は『おばけちゃん（松谷みよ子作）』。最近は、アン・タイラー、アニー・プルー、アゴタクリストフ、トマス・H・クックあたり。
映画は雑食。ラブストーリーよりは、B級アクション映画のほうが好きだけど。
スポーツは水泳。泳ぎ始めるだいぶん前から、「その肩幅、水泳選手だったんでしょ？」と人にいわれ、それなら、と始めた。現在はお休み中。
大好きな画家はポントルモ。珠玉の1枚は「受胎告知」。
占いは、獅子座、O型、ペガサス、火星人＋の霊合星人。
「ヒトは健康になるために生きるに非ず」と思いつつ、「健康であることが人生を支える」とも思う。
健康の幅は人によって千差万別。押し付けがましくなく、でも、私たちのカラダの〔すごさ／もろさ／愛しさ〕をお伝えできれば……。
