ツール・ド・フランスをにらみつつ
＜自転車レース 第70回ツール・ド・スイス＞ヒル・ペレス 総合首位に立つ - スイス
【ラ・プント/スイス 15日 AFP】第70回ツール・ド・スイス（Tour de Suisse）・第6ステージ（フィーシュからラ・プント／210キロメートル）。プロディール・サウニエル・デュバル（Prodir-Saunier Duval）のコルド・ヒル・ペレス（Koldo Gil Perez、スペイン）は、タイム5時間49分52秒でステージ優勝を果たした。ヒル・ペレスは合計タイム27時間43分21秒で、総合首位に立った。(c)AFP/PASCAL GUYOT
ツール・ド・フランスの前哨戦としての意味あいもあるツール・ド・スイス。なんだかイマイチ、気分的に乗り切れないところがある。
と、いうのも、ジロ・デ・イタリア以来、色々ゴタゴタがあったようで・・・
ジロ・デ・イタリア終了後、リバティー・セグロスのサインツ監督が薬物不法所持の容疑で逮捕された。そのため、チーム・スポンサーのリバティー・セグロスがスポンサー契約を破棄、チームのセカンド・スポンサーであったウルトがチーム名を引き継いだ形になっている。ツール・ド・フランスの頃には新しいスポンサーが決まり参戦予定になっているが、こんな情況ではヴィノクロフもモチベーションが上がらないだろう。でも、新しいスポンサーはヴィノクロフ絡みなので、否が応でもツール・ド・フランスでは好成績を上げる必要があるだろう。チームのアシスト陣はステージ優勝をあげたりそれなりに順調に仕上がっているようだけど・・・
ドーピングがらみではジロ以降２選手ほど出場停止になっている。これもツールに水を差す結果になっているようで、何かと暗いニュースが続いているようだ。
ウルリヒはツールに向けて順調に調整が進んでいるようで、かなりシェイプアップしているようだ。ジロの頃と比べると順調にダイエットができたように見える。きっと今年はやってくれるだろうと期待が高まる。でもシーズン初めの膝の故障はどうなんでしょう？？？
ウルリヒはランス・アームストロングが連覇する前に一度ツール・ド・フランスを制覇しているんだけど、もう半分忘れられた記録になりつつある。ウルリヒと言えば万年２位というイメージのほうが強く、今年もしまた２位以下に甘んじるようなことにでもなれば、万年２位、無冠の帝王ウルリヒなんて言われそうな感じだ。とにかく頑張ってツール・ド・フランスを盛り上げてほしい。
