＜06ツール・ド・フランス＞第17ステージ ランディス、ステージ優勝を飾り総合3位まで浮上 - フランス
【モルツィーヌ/フランス 20日 AFP】自転車レース、ツール・ド・フランス（2006 Tour de France）・第17ステージ（サン・ジャン・ド・モリエンヌからモルツィーヌ、200.5キロメートル）。総合11位でスタートしたフォナック・ヒアリング・システムズ（Phonak Hearing Systems）のフロイド・ランディス（Floyd Landis、米国）は、5時間23分36秒のトップタイムでフィニッシュしてこのステージの優勝を飾り、総合順位を首位と30秒差の3位まで上げた。(c)AFP/PASCAL GUYOT
昨日、もうだめと思ったランディスが大逃げを決めて、個人総合優勝最有力候補に舞い戻った。まさにたった一日だけ、不調に陥ったということだ。それにしてもここまで挽回するとは。とにかくランディスはあっぱれだ。
ただ、ランディスが逆転を狙って大逃げを決めることは予想できた展開だった。しかし、ライバルチームはそれを見逃してしまった。自分としてはこれが予想外だった。ランディスの力は強かったが、そのほかのライバルたちは総合優勝に対する気持ちが、あまりにも低かったのではないだろうか。
今年のランディスは、頭ひとつ抜け出た実力を持っていた。それがただ一日遅れただけ。でもその遅れが大きなものだった。だからこそ、ライバルチームはその差を守らなければいけなかった。それをさせなかったのも、ランディスの力。とにかくランディスはあっぱれだった。
残すステージはあと3つ。個人タイムトライアルももちろんだけど、最後のステージまで目が離せない。今日も何かが起こるかもしれない。

ランディスの不調があっての第17ステージ。絶好調のままだったら、やっかみ半分（笑）で、素直に喜べない感じでした。
ディスカバリーが総合争いしてたら、絶対ランディスを逃がしてはおかなかったでしょうね。他のチームは・・・気持ちなんですかねぇ。
それにしても、タイムトライアルが楽しみになりました！
（ヴィノクロフがいたら平坦でも逃げを打ちそうですね！）
