＜06ツール・ド・フランス＞ランディス 大会中の薬物検査で陽性反応 - フランス
【パリ/フランス 27日 AFP】自転車レース、ツール・ド・フランス（2006 Tour de France）を通算89時間39分30秒のタイムで初制覇したフロイド・ランディス（Floyd Landis、米国）が、大会中に行われた薬物検査において、筋肉増強作用のある男性ホルモンのテストステロン（testosterone）に陽性反応を示していたと27日、所属チームのフォナック・ヒアリング・システムズ（Phonak Hearing Systems）がウェブサイト上で発表した。

開幕前の騒動だけで終わらなかった。総合優勝したはずのフロイド･ランディスに陽性反応がでた。どれだけの人ががっかりしていることか。
今年は開幕前に疑惑のある選手を排除したはずだったが、優勝者が陽性という最悪の事態となった。なぜこのようなことになったのだろうか。本当に残念だ。とにかくドーピングはいかん！ルールを守ること、これができなければ、スポーツはもちろん。平和は訪れない！
選手はドーピング検査を受けている。優勝した選手はもちろん。毎日ランダムでも選ばれるので全員が対象となっている。そして、厳かに行われるドーピング検査。もちろん潔白を示すためだが、最初から疑われているとも思える。そんな検査が課せられている選手が、ドーピングしようと思うとはとても考えづらい。それでも出てくるということは「みんながやっている、だから自分も」という意識が広がっているのだろう。実際、よく耳にする。
それでも何もしていない選手はたくさんいる。それをわすれてはならない。
だが、何もしていないつもりでいても、いつの間にかドーピング漬けにされている可能性もある。いつの間にかに食事や飲み物に禁止薬物が混ざっていれば本人の自覚はないはずだ。そこまではなかなかコントロールするのは難しい。ただアームストロングは料理人を帯同させていた。ランスはフランスメディアから相当な攻撃を受けていただけに、それは必須だったのかもしれない。
知らぬ間にドーピングしていた。これを防ぐのはかなり困難だ。しかし、そこまで来るとモラルの問題。「人を殺してはいけない」「盗みをしてはいけない」「この紙が紙幣です」。これらのことと同じこと。「ドーピングをしてはいない」「ドーピングさせてはいない」。もちろんそれらにはそれぞれ理由はあるが、そんな理由なんて関係ない。ただ、矛盾しているようだがランスの様にすべての起こりうる事態を把握することも忘れてはいけない。
この問題がこの先どう転ぼうとも、ツール･ド･フランスとプロサイクリングにとって残念な出来事であることだけは確かだ。
