＜第15回ジャパンカップサイクルロードレース＞リッコが優勝を飾る - 栃木
【栃木 22日 AFP】自転車レース、第15回ジャパンカップサイクルロードレース（15th JAPAN CUP CYCLE ROAD RACE）（151.3キロメートル）。レースはサウニエルドゥバル・プロディール（Saunier Duval-Prodir）のリカルド・リッコ（Riccardo Ricco、イタリア）が3時間58分18秒をマークして優勝を飾った。(c)AFP/Yoshikazu TSUNO
チューリッヒ選手権からのご無沙汰になりました。
チューリッヒの後は、パリ〜ツール、ロンバルディアとプロツアー3連戦を終えて、ジャパンカップを迎えた。僕もロンバルディアまで、フミと行動をともにしていた。
そして、ロンバルディア終了後一足先に日本に戻り、19日ヨハン率いるチーム・ディスカバリーの来日を成田で迎えた。
ヨーロッパでは連戦、そしてドキュメンタリー番組の密着取材をこなしていた。さらに時差ボケ解消に通常1週間ぐらいかかるフミにとって、今回は正直よいコンディションではなかった。
ただ、全日本選手権同様、日本スタッフのサポートや、応援にきてくれた多くのファンの声援に支えられてよく走り抜いた。集団の中では日本チャンピオンとしての威厳さえも感じさせてくれた。
結果は良いものではなかったが、レース後たくさんのファンがフミを囲み、熱いエール送ってくれた。コンディションが悪い中、日本のファンに華麗な走りをみせたフミには、本当に驚かされてしまう。
たくさんの声援を送って下さったファンの方々に本当に感謝をしています。
そして、これからも応援よろしくお願いします。
