人間というのはどこまで業の深い生き物なのでしょうか？
害獣というならともかく、密林の奥地でひっそりと暮らしていた
絶滅危惧種の動物を捕獲し、これを需要のあるところへ売りさばく
という地下組織がベトナムでは暗躍しているようです。
ベトナムは、敬虔な仏教国で、日本と同じく道教的な考え方が
精神風土のベースとなっていると聞いていたのに、
野生動物の殺生には心が痛まないのか……？
やっぱりお金の魅力にはかなわないということなんでしょうね。（まぁ、日本も同じような環境にあるといえなくもないですが……）

広がっていて、ものすごい産業が成り立っているとのこと。
こうなるとそれを完全に取り締まるには、相当な荒療治が必要
になるでしょうね。なんかちょっと、超人的なヒーローが
強大な悪の組織に立ち向かうハリウッド製アクション映画の
主人公みたいな取締官に登場願いたいような気分です。
■種を絶滅させる権利は人間なんかに無い
記事の中でちょっと気になったのは、こうした希少動物を集めた
違法な個人の動物園の存在と、"希少な肉"を食べるのをステータスと
考えるおバカな富裕層がいること。急速な資本主義経済の導入が
生み出した"にわか成金"の考えそうなことですよねー。
だけどこれは何もアジアの低開発国に限った話ではない。
日本にだって、動物園とまではいかないまでも、
マンションの一室にエキゾチックアニマルを飼っている人は
たくさんいるし、飛行機に乗ってゲテモノを食べに海外に
行く人もいる。
またどこから仕入れるのかＷＷＦで輸出入が禁止された
希少動物を、輸入して好事家に売りさばくペットショップ
や卸業者もいます。しかしながら、こうしたことはすべて
"自然の摂理"に逆らう人間のエゴイズムと言っていい。
日本はベトナムなどとは違って、民度の高い先進国だというなら、
野生動物をまるでモノのように扱うような、
神をも畏れぬ行為は厳に慎むべきだと思いますね。
