「北」遂に核実験おこなう

あ～ぁ、「北」がとうとう核実験をしてしまった。
日本、その他アジア各国への環境影響はどうなるのだろう。
これで「核カード」(大国との交渉権)を持ったつもりでいるだろうがそう簡単にはいくまい。
世界各国が反感をもち、とりわけ中国が「北」寄りだっただけに、今後の外交が注目されるところだ。
北朝鮮の国営朝鮮中央通信は９日、地下核実験を実施したと発表。実験の時間や場所など詳細は伝えていないが、同通信は「科学的計画と綿密な計算で進められた」と成果を報じ、「放射能漏れはなかった」と伝えている。
日本や米国、中国、韓国など関係各国が情報確認を急いでいるところだが。北朝鮮外務省は今月３日、「科学研究部門が今後、安全性が徹底的に保証された核実験を実施することになる」と宣言していた。
８０年代から浮上した北朝鮮の核開発疑惑は核実験によって現実のものとなった。核保有国としては、米英仏中露、インド、パキスタンに続いて８カ国目になる。国際社会は北朝鮮への制裁に踏み切るとみられ、北朝鮮の核問題は緊迫した局面を迎えた。
韓国メディアは、同国国家情報院に入った情報として、北朝鮮の咸鏡北道（ハムギョンプクド）花台郡付近で午前１０時３５分ごろ、マグニチュード３．６規模の地震波を探知したと報じている。
北朝鮮が実験で使用した核爆弾は、平安北道寧辺（ピョンアンプクドニョンビョン）の実験用黒鉛減速炉（５メガワット）で生成したプルトニウムを原料にしたものと見られる。
北朝鮮は８６年１月に黒鉛炉の運転を開始、核兵器開発に着手。８９年春以後に燃料棒を再処理し、核兵器１～２発分に当たる６～１２キロのプルトニウムを抽出したとみられている。９４年１０月の米朝枠組み合意を受け、北朝鮮は同炉の運転を停止したが、０３年１月に核拡散防止条約（ＮＰＴ）脱退を宣言したのを機に再稼働させ、同年１０月、０５年５月の２回、８０００本の燃料棒を抜き出して再処理、プルトニウム抽出作業を実施している。
米民間研究機関の分析によると、北朝鮮は核兵器４～１３個分に当たる「２０～５３キロ」のプルトニウムを保有していると見られ、今回の実験では、これらのプルトニウムが使用された可能性が高い。
