ぼくはいつもカギっ子だったんだ。
お父さんもお母さんも
朝から夜まで毎日働いていて
学校から帰ってきても家には誰もいない。
自分のカギをポケットから出して
ガチャガチャと開けるんだ
時々、思ったよ。
「おかえり～。」って誰かが ぼくを迎えてくれないかなって。
だけど 誰もいない。
学校のカバンを置いて、テレビをつけて
戸棚からお菓子をだして
ひとりで 食べたんだ。
誰も「あそぼ」って迎えにきてくれないから
ひとりでカギを閉めて外に遊びに行った。
今にも雨が降りそうな空だったけど
ひとりで家にいるよりマシだったから
ぼくは公園に行った。
すべり台をひとりで滑ってたらポタポタと
雨が降ってきた。
ぼくはすべり台の下にしゃがんで
雨宿りをした。アリがいてアリの巣に入っていった。
おいしそうなごはんを運びながら。
このアリは自分の家に戻ったらアリのお母さんが
待っていてくれるのかな。
一緒においしいごはんを 食べるのかな
雨がやんできたので
ぼくはもうひとつの公園に行った
鉄棒をやろうとしたら 雨の雫がたくさん
ついていた
今にも落ちそうな雫たち
ぼくは指を そっと その雫に近づけた
人差し指の上に 雫がのった
「やった！」と思ったら
ポロンと雫は指からすべり落ちていった
もう一度、指を近づけた
今度は失敗しないようにそーっと雫を指にのせた
雫をのせた指を動かさないように
おそるおそる歩いた
全神経を雫に集中させた。
ぼくのことを見ていたちっちゃな子が
近づいてきた
「なに して るの？」
「指に雫をのせてるんだ」
ぼくは雫を乗せた指を その子に見せた
「ゆびわ みたい。 」
「ひかってて すてき だね」
わたしもやってみたい と言うので
ぼくは教えてあげた。
ちっちゃい子は鉄棒に指が届かない
ぼくはその子を抱き上げて
指を雫に近づけさせた
なかなかうまくいかない
指が鉄棒にくっつきすぎて
雫が壊れてしまう
その子はあきらめて 家に帰っていった
遠くでドンドコ ドンドコと
太鼓の音がする
「そうか 今日は夏祭りかぁ」
アパートの掲示板に貼ってあった「夏祭りのポスター」を
見て 考える。
ポスターの絵は浴衣を着た女の子が２人描いてあって
顔は笑っていた
『お父さんとお母さんが仕事から帰ったら、
いっしょに行きたい』と思った。
明日は日曜日。
お祭りで ソースせんべいとべっこう飴と
わたがしを食べたいと思った。
おこづかいが少し残っているから
金魚すくいもできるかな
「早くお父さんとお母さん 帰ってこないかなぁ」
夜になってお父さんもお母さんも帰ってきた
「お祭り行こうよ」
「そうだね 明日は休みだし」
「そうだ おまえの甚平買っておいたよ」
外に出て 手を繋ぎながら
買ってもらった甚平を着て
太鼓の音がする方に歩いていった
髪を結った女の子たちが浴衣を着て
通りすぎる
手には うちわ と わたがし
ポケットにはカギは入ってない
入っているのは お菓子を買うための少しのお金
ひとりでいつもドアを開ける手は
お母さんとお父さんの手を握っている。
金魚すくい たのしみだなぁ。
