染毛剤に使われている２２種類の化学薬品について欧州が使用不可の決定を出したというニュース。
＜グンター・フェアホイゲン（Guenter Verheugen）欧州委員会副委員長（企業・産業担当）は、｢安全が証明されない物質は、市場から消しておくべき。高い安全基準の設定は、EU圏内の消費者の保護のみならず、欧州の化粧品業界に法的確実性を与えることでもある｣と説明する＞
漢っぷりの良い台詞であります。素晴らしい。
でもこのニュース、あんまり知られてないですね。
Eu bans 22 hair dye chemicals なんて入れて検索すると、いっぱいニュースが出るので、 ＥＵ、アメリカなんてかなり騒いでいるのがわかります。
（アメリカではたくさんの御用医者が、発ガン性などないと声を大にして言っていましたから、ショックがでかいのでは。日本も同様ですが）
日本でこのニュース、どれだけ知られているのやら-----と思って検索しても、ほとんど出てきませんね。さすが島国ニッポン。

かなり難解ですが、簡単に言えば、
以前から発ガン性が指摘されていた、ジアミン系化合物とかアミノフェノールとかはいかんよ、ということです。これらは染毛剤の主成分中の主成分。酸化染毛料として、いわゆる「１液」に使われてます。これがなけりゃ、永久染毛剤＝つまり普通のヘアカラーになりません。
そういえば、髪の取材の折々、染毛剤の危険性を聞いたのですが「発ガン性は眉唾」という医者が多かったです。発ガン性はわからないが、アレルギー性は最悪に近いくらい強い、と皆一致した意見を持っていました。もちろん、頭皮は滅茶苦茶に傷むから、薄毛の人は絶対厳禁。
「そもそも染毛剤はアレルギー性が強くて、もし今開発されて申請されても絶対却下されるような刺激物ばかり。けれども、他にかわるものがないから許されている」
つうことでした。
でも、いまやアレルギーどころでなくて、膀胱ガンですよ。詳細に見れば、肝臓にだってかなりの負担があるように思えます。育毛どころじゃない。抗ガン剤で早くして総ハゲのおそれすらありますよ。
まあ先走るのは置いておいても、とＥＵ全体で禁止措置が出たということで、こいつはやはり、かなりヤバめの代物であるということは明らかに。
こいつは困ったね、化粧品業界。あるいは各社とも、今まで通り、島国日本の特性を生かして無視・だんまりを決め込むんでしょうか。（……アスベストみたいに最悪な事態が予想されますが）
もちろん、美容というのは、必ずしも健康と一致しない。むしろ、矛盾する面もあることは確か。「醜くなるよりは、死を選ぶ」なんて台詞あったような気がしますが、ある意味、すがすがしくていい。私も別に健康のために生きている訳じゃない。
だから、リスクを背負ってそれでも染毛するなら、まったくかまわない。
ただし、ちゃんと情報が与えられていることが前提。
そうでなきゃ単なる人殺しです。
各社とも「ＥＵでは膀胱ガンを誘発するとして禁止されている薬物がいっぱい入っています」とラベルに書いてから売ってもらいたいもんですね。
