言葉でふえる

今はもう山ほどいると思うけれど、２０年近く前、僕が高校を卒業するときはまだ、進路を決めずに卒業したのは僕をふくめて３人ほどで、たいがいの人はいちおう、ま、結局はすぐ辞めたりするのだけれど、それでもそれなりに進路を決めて学校を出た。
当時はまだ「フリーター」という言葉がなかったから、言葉もなかったということは、プラプラとアルバイトをしながら生活をするという分野が世間
ではまだ認知されてなくて、もちろんもうすでにそういう人はたくさんいたけれど、世間の表に出てくることはあまりなくて、いくら「アルバイト」をしていると説明しても、大人からは「そんなもんは昔から無職ていうんじゃ」といわれ続けた。
それが、いつの頃からか「フリーター」という言葉とともに分野として認知されはじめた。するととたんに「フリーター」が増えた。もちろんその時の社会的状況というものがあり、泣く泣く「フリーター」になるしかなかった人もいただろうけれど、なかには「これ幸い」と「フリーター」になった者が、いなかったとはいわせない。
今は、ご存じのように「ニート」という言葉があって、ま、若者限定ではあるけれど、いつまでも丈夫なスネを持つ親の元で働かない人という分野までできた。そのとたん、それまで以上に働かない若者が増えた。もちろんこれも、働きたくても働けない「泣く泣くニート」もいるだろうけれども「これ幸いニート」がいないとはいわせない。
言葉というのは不思議なもので、その言葉があらわれたとたん、その分野は一気にふえる。もちろん、ある程度の下地はいる。言葉があらわれたところで、何の気配もなければ、何かが劇的に増えるわけではない。気配があり、そこへ言葉があらわれたとたん一夜のうちに分野はできる。
今はまだ言葉が出現していないけれども、あきらかにその気配を感じるものに、いつまでも若い大人というのがある。いつまでも若い大人というのは、若作りをする大人という意味ではなくて、昔流行った「ピーターパン何とか症候群」といった大人になれない大人というのでもなくて、そうではなくて、それなりに大人なのに全然平気でいつまでも僕のように「僕」を使ったり、半人前といつまでも思えてたり、若人がすることを無理せず楽しいと思えるそんな大人のことで、もちろん僕もそうだし、まわりもほとんどそうなのに、もしかしたら１０００年以上続いて来た、人の一生の物語の概念をガラリと変える世代の登場なのかもしれないのに、まだその新しい大人を語る言葉がない。
「入れ墨」を「タトゥー」といいかえてから、不良でもやくざでも娼婦でもミュージシャンでもない人達が体に墨を入れはじめ、Tシャツの袖の下から墨ののぞいたその腕で子供を抱く普通のパパがあらわれたように、どう別れていいのかわからなかった夫婦が「正確の不一致」という言葉で、ようやく別れる理由をみつけられたように、休むほどの痛みではないけど「何かちょっと」と悩んでいた運動選手が「違和感」という言葉で安心して休めるようになったように、新しい大人に対する言葉があらわれたとたん、３０にしてもまだ立てず、４０、５０になってもまだ惑い、ていうか死ぬ間際まで安心してまだ惑う、そんなゆったりとして穏やかな、けれども躍進し続けようとする近代国家の根底を揺るがすような平和な革命世代が、大きな顔をしてあらわれるに違いない。

なるほど。そう言われてみればその通りで、「言葉」の力はすごいですね。
極端な事を言うと、国家はきっと税源や国民からの支払い物がきっちり確保できていれば別にいいわけで、いつまでも若い大人たちが増え、平和な革命世代が現れても、その大人たちが戸惑ってもなんとか働き、次世代を育て、色々収めものをしてくれれば平気かもしれません。（そうでない場合は国家の存続に係わりますから大問題になると思いますが）
どこかで誰かが言葉を生み出し、マスコミが取り上げ、その「言葉」が定着して、国会でも話題くらいにはなるかもしれませんが、そんな頃にはマスコミの中にも国会議員の中にも「若い大人」たちが増殖して「当たり前」になっている可能性もありますしね。

「ちょい悪オヤジ」というフォルダもある。
脇の浅いシャツとちょっとほつれたジーンズ（あれ何ていうんやろ）
を併せて
「僕、ちょい悪オヤジになりたいんですけどぉ、このシャツ脇が気持ち悪くて...。」
そんなオヤジは間違っても「ちょい悪オヤジ」にはなれない。
そもそも「フリーター」しかり「ニート」しかり
走っていた本人達にはきっとそうなりたいなんてけして思っていなかったはず。
そう括られてホッとする気持ちもわかるが、
「怠けるな！働け！」って言われ続けて仕方なく少しバイトでもせざるを得なかったろうし、「フリーター」であろうが「ニート」であろうが、
あたしの中では自分も含めて「無職」というフォルダで括る。
「無職ですがそれが何か？」って話だ。
秋葉の男の子が「Ａ－ＢＯＹ」と括られて市場に貢献していても
あたしは実の兄を死んでも「Ａ-ＢＯＹ」とは呼ばない。
「ロリコン」で充分。
なんかＴＡＴＯＯにしろＡ－ＢＯＹにしろ
金の匂いがプンプンする。
流行に乗り切れない貧乏人の戯言かなぁ...。

やっぱり日本人としては日本語表現であって欲しいナ…
主に英語ではあると思うが何かピンと来ない(^_^;)
も…もしかして、オバサン化してる???(笑)
でも、ホント、表す言葉があることで、一種のステイタスだったり
卑屈にならないで済むこともあるかも…
何かに納まることで自分の存在に安心感がもてるのか…
異端であり続けたいと願いつつ
集団の安心感もどこかで欲しい…
色々問題もある今の時代も、少し先の未来から見ると、未だマシなのか…
何かネガティブな言葉についてコメントしちゃった(^_^;)
あ…“ネガティブ”っていうのもそうかしら…(笑)

タトゥーという言葉もその存在も、今では、日本の社会に定着した
みたいですね。
でも、この言葉がやっと日本のメディアに登場するようになった初期の頃は大変でした。
タトゥーという言葉が、やっと日本でちらほら出始めた頃、
丸善の洋書コーナーの隣に、可愛い模様のシールが売られて
いました。よく見たら、タトゥーの洗えば消える体に貼り付ける
シールでした。デザイン的に素敵だったので購入しました。
ある時、ある集まりに着ていく予定の上着が、物に挟まって
破けてしまいました。時間無くて、咄嗟に破けた部分を鋏
で切り取って、穴の開いた部分に相当する自分のボディの
位置に、タトゥーのシールを貼り付けて行きました。
破けた上着の穴から見え隠れするボディに浮かぶタトゥー
という私のファッションは、出席した人達の注目を浴びました。
タトゥーの知識を知らない保守的な人達からは、「あの人は、刺青をしている」と陰口をたたかれました。
