知っているという事

ふだん、あまり注意もせず、地球は太陽のまわりを回っているのを「知っている」の「知っている」と、うちの冷蔵庫の裏には猫が遊んでいて奥に押し込んでし
まったペットボトルの蓋が転がっているのを「知っている」の「知っている」を、区別なく使っているけれど、これはだけど区別なく使ってていいのか、とたまに思う。
前者の「知っている」は、あくまでも「知識」として「知っている」の「知っている」である。地球が太陽のまわりを回っているのなんて見たことがないのであるから、そう教わらないと、そんな事は思いもよらない訳で、だから実際、昔の人は、太陽が地球のまわりを回っていると思っていた訳で。もっと昔の人は世界はたいらになっていて、あまり遠くへ行くと「おちる」と思っていた訳で。そっちの方が「知識」としては問題がある(あるのか？)にせよ、何となく「実感」があり、説得力があるとも思える訳で。
だから、厳密にいうと、地球は太陽のまわりを回っているのを「知っている」のではなく「らしい」とか言うべきことであり、絶対かどうか命をかけるか？と言われればとてもゆらぐ「知っている」なのである。
しかし、後者の「知っている」は、そうじゃない。事実、冷蔵庫の裏に蓋が転がっているのを「見た」し、さっきも「見た」し、ていうか何度も「見た」し、手をのばして触ってもいるから、文字通り意味通り「知っている」わけで、誰に何とゆわれようと「知っている」し、命かける？と言われても「そんなことで命を？」と思うけれどかけられる、鉄板の「知っている」なのである。
て、考えてゆくと「知っている」と思っていることの中のいくつかはずいぶん疑わしいということになる。南極の上にはオゾンホールがある事を「知っている」とか、日本はせまいという事を「知っている」とか、月には空気がないという事を「知っている」とか、とにかく、そう考えると山ほどある。見てもないのに「知っている」気になっている。「知っている」気になっている事さえ、もう気がつかないで、いる。
なのに、そういう類いの「知っている」をたくさん「知っている」人の方が「かしこい」と往々にして世間では言われる。冷蔵庫の裏のペットボトルの蓋の有る無しをいくら「知っている」と言おうと、駐輪場のじいさんは近くの酒屋の隠居だという事をいくら「知っている」と言おうと、誰もその人の事を「かしこい」とはゆわない。
厳密にゆえば、おかしな話なのである。
しかし。少なくとも僕らのように、劇なんかを書いたり作ったりする「社会的役立たず」にとっては、アンドロメダがどうなっているかを事細かに「知っている」事よりも、飯を食っているときに自分の足がどうなっているのかを「知っている」とか、毎日顔をあわす嫁はんの好き嫌いを「知っている」とか、きのう貰ったお土産の包み紙の模様はどうなっていたかを「知っている」方が役に立つ。素粒子のどうとかこうとかをいくら「知っている」とゆったところで「よお。博士」と肩をたたかれ「割り勘にしたいから１人いくらか計算して」と言われて、積み重ねてきた「学歴」に裏打たれた「博識」と「知識」など木っ端みじんに砕け散らされるだけである。
もちろん。うまく出来ているもので、稼ぎはそれに見合ったものでしかないし、ふだんはただの「阿呆」にしか見えないのだけれども、見てないから「知らない」と言ったときにそこはかとなく味わう意味のない劣等感にさいなまれる事はない。

私はテレビを見るのがあまり好きではないので、たまに「ああ、今日はなんだか風が強いね」と、友人に話しかけると実は台風が来ていたりする。
もし、テレビを見て「ああ、台風が来る、大変だ」と先入観を受けていたら、「風が強いなぁ」ぐらいでは済まなかっただろう。
もしも世の中にテレビがなかったら。
殺人事件も汚職も、セクハラも戦争さえも知らない生涯を送ってたりするのではないかと、たまに思う。
ゆえに、自分の罪を犯す可能性を極力抑えられるのではないか。
情報があふれていると言うことは、それだけ常に誘惑にさらされているという事だ。
一つのチャンネルで、「こんな痛ましい事件がありました」と語りながら、ゴールデンタイムに「死ね」「殺す」「犯す」などと平気で言葉を使う。
自制心の育つ前の子供の心に、どんな種を蒔いているのか自覚しているのであろうか。
太った男性がSMの格好をしてお笑い番組をやっているのを目にすると、子供の性への欲求をまず不純なもので洗脳しているという罪をあなたは負えるのかと、甚だ腹が立つ。
その番組に提供している企業は、ちゃんと内容を吟味するべきである。
知るべき事、知るべきでないこと。
知っていること、実は知らないこと。
リンゴをかじったときに、それらが混沌としてしまったのではないか。

「知っている」と思っている事で作られた劇よりも
正しく実感として「知っている」事で作られた劇を私は望む。
「知っている」と思っている事なんてどうせ「どこかで誰かが」言ったり書いたりした事に決まってるし。

世間一般の言う「知っている」イコール「賢い」の認識は、間違っている部分があると
私は思う。同等に、「ＩＱ（知能指数が高い」人達は、全て「学力優秀、頭脳優秀」という概念も、「絶対に間違い」だ。
あの人は「ＩＱ」が高いから、学業成績が優秀で当たり前、だのに何故
「学力不振なのか変」と言われるとしたら、それはその人にとって大変不幸な事だ。
最近は実施されているのかどうか知らないけど、（また復活させるという話も
あるみたいから、今は中止になっているのかなあ）義務教育時代、
時々、国が実施する全国一斉学力テスト？（ＩＱテスト？）みたいのがあった。
（あまりにも個人的な事なので、どうしようかしらと思ったけど・・・思い切って書いてみる。）
学校嫌いで勉強嫌いだったのに、私のＩＱ指数は、毎回、飛びぬけてＩ高かった。
今は、個人情報とやらでそのような情報が漏れないのだろうが、「テストの結果、
ＫＩＲＩちゃんのＩＱ指数は、何々もあるんだよ。」と嬉しそうな顔をして皆の前で語る
先生。ああ見えてもあの子は、天才だ等と、変なレッテルが貼られてずうっと
付きまとった。それがどれほど、嫌な事だったろう。ついたあだ名は、「天才ちゃん」
プレッシャーの中でますます、学校嫌いになっていった。
好むの好まざるに関わらず、確かに記憶力だけは人並み以上にあったように思う。故に、学友が知らない事でも、私が知っていて当たり前、私の知らない事があると、逆に変とみなされた。逆差別のようにさえ感じた。
今は、それらの事柄を理解している良き友人達に恵まれて、幸せな日々で
あるけれど・・・。
